Elevating the Conversation

HBRF links science and policy in national conversations about climate change, clean energy, and nature-based solutions.

In 2020, HBRF and partners held the NH Youth Climate and Clean Energy Town Hall with U.S. presidential candidates. The tradition has continued with annual live events featuring high-profile decision-makers, scientists, and emerging leaders from high schools, colleges, and universities.

About HBRF

Established in 1993, the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation (HBRF) delivers cutting-edge science to decision-makers on the front lines of environmental change. We bridge the gaps between science and education, public policy, land management, corporate sustainability, and recreation. Read more about our work in the Science & Society and Education tabs in the main menu, and highlights in the slider above. Our programs include roundtable and town-hall events, policy-relevant briefings and bulletins, social and mainstream media outreach, and communication training for students and early-career researchers.

Against a backdrop of rapid environmental change, HBRF opens effective channels for action-oriented dialogue between citizens and scientists for smart policy and practice.

Logistical support to scientists and students includes: fundraising; research housing, lab, and storage space; event coordination; and community organizing.
