Research Interests
I am interested in understanding the impacts of forest succession and habitat heterogeneity on stream diatom biodiversity and function. My research focuses on streams at Hubbard Brook, working collaboratively with researchers at the Cary Institute using archived algal samples. Specific interests include: disturbance ecology, phycology, stream ecology, and the connections between forests and streams.
