Kerry Yurewicz

I am an ecologist interested in the dynamics of animal populations and communities. At Hubbard Brook, I am working on two projects. The first is a multi-year survey of aquatic macroinvertebrates at sites dispersed across 10 tributaries, focused on examining patterns in abundance and diversity. The second is a mark-recapture study of terrestrial red-backed salamanders (Plethodon cinereus) at a set of coverboard plots; this project is part of a collaborative research network (SPARCnet) aimed at understanding how this species may respond to a changing climate.
