Research Interests
Anthea has more than 17 years of experience as an environmental educator, fundraiser, and leader in a non-profit setting. Since receiving her Master’s Degree in Biological Anthropology in 1999, Anthea directed the education programs at a range of environmental and zoological institutions, including the Zoological Society of Florida, Zoo New England, and the Vermont Institute of Natural Science. Anthea joined Hubbard Brook in 2012 and was appointed to the position of Executive Director of the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation in 2016. Working at the interface of Hubbard Brook science and society, Anthea combines her curiosity about the natural world with her passion for building community. Within Hubbard Brook and across our networks of partners, Anthea works to create a culture of environmental awareness that is scholarly and practical, reality-based and creative.
