Raisa Kochmaruk

Raisa Kochmaruk is a scientific illustrator and recent graduate of Cornell University, where she earned an undergraduate degree in Environment & Sustainability with a self-designed concentration in Science Communication. During her time at Cornell, Raisa gained professional experience in science illustration working with the renowned Cornell Lab of Ornithology. As a member of the Kaiser Lab, Raisa produced a series of illustrations of female plumage variation and nestling development in the black-throated blue warbler. During summer 2021, Raisa is painting a mural at Hubbard Brook's headquarters building that celebrates the site's study species.
